Who Am I?

My name is Gabriella and I am a Registered Counselling therapist Candidate (RCT-C) and a member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association (CATA). Art has always been my outlet for self-expression. It has allowed me to convey emotions when words could not. My journey towards art therapy began in 2014 when I earned my BFA from NSCAD University in Interdisciplinary studies. There, I focused on photography, metalwork, and design. I then decided to share the artistic knowledge I gained by completing my BEd from St. Francis Xavier University in 2016. Although working with students in the classroom was extremely rewarding, I knew that I wanted to positively impact lives through artistic expression. That’s when my journey lead me to Detroit, MI, where I was able to combine my passions by completing my MEd with a concentration in art therapy.
